so my friend jill and i went to this little harbor town an hour east of where we live, called Greenport. i used to live there. we went on the ferry because it's only a dollar even if you take the ferry back to your starting point, and it's just a fun thing to do. we were in this small heated room taking a bunch of pictures of just about everything, including each other, forgetting that there are large windows so naturally all the people in all the cars outside could see everything we were doing. this photo captures my realization of this fact: i went to look out the window and was faced with four blank stares from the kids in the station wagon mere inches away from the window.
